Having Your Yellowcake and Eating It

One of the greatest concerns of policy makers, corporations, academics, and private citizens is the matter of man’s impact on the environment, increasing scarcity of resources as well as what this bodes for the future and how to address the issue without curtailing economic growth. However, the best solution to this problem has been around for more than half a century.

The War on Humans

Make no mistake; there are plenty of people, (Sir David Attenborough warns that mankind is a “plague on the Earth.”) who also happen to occupy senior roles in Gov’ts, NGO’s (extremist Green groups), the EU and the UN, who firmly believe humans are the enemy.

Peddling Imaginary Global Warming is the perfect cover story for these anti-human forces to enact their deadly ideology. You know the world has gone mad when some people suggest plants have “rights” also.

The video below runs for 31 minutes, but it’s well worth watching.

Thousands of morons in the rain celebrate their collective stupidity

Via the Herald Sun

The federal government was "sacrificing the planet for politics" by not taking stronger action to combat climate change, a rally in Sydney has been told.

Thousands of protesters, many in plastic ponchos or huddling under umbrellas, braved wild weather in Sydney's Prince Alfred Park on Sunday to call for stronger action on climate change.

Organised by social activist group GetUp!, the rally is one of more than 100 similar events throughout the country, with a total of about 50,000 people expected to take part.

"Today is a challenging period in our political history. It's a time when our government is sacrificing our planet for politics," GetUp! campaigns director Erin McCallum told a crowd carrying placards with slogans such as "Aim higher on climate", "Turn up the heat, choose solar power" and "Hands off our carbon tax Abbott".

Ms McCallum said the "government might have turned climate change into a political football but they weren't counting on us to play ball".

Police estimated between 3500 and 5000 people were at the Sydney event.

Yes they have the freedom to protest, just as I have the freedom to call them Moron’s.

UN run AGW ‘middleman’ awash with cash but claims to face hard times

CAGW is nothing but a massive money merry-go around scam.

Via Fox News

The United Nations-administered cap-and-trade system for reducing greenhouse gases is sitting on a cash hoard of close to $200 million, even as it warns of hard times ahead that could impede its mission.

The cash cushion for the Geneva-based organization known as the Clean Development Mechanism, or CDM, amounts to more than 400 percent of the $45 million reserve that it considers a normal set-aside for rainy days, according to its recently published business plan for 2014-2015.

Given the organization’s projected belt-tightening budget of about $33 million for next year, it also means the CDM’s more than 170 employees could, theoretically, do absolutely nothing for the next six years before they would have to go out of business.

The CDM’s intention, of course, is to do the opposite:  it is preparing to suffer through a lean year or two and counting on 194 nations that assembled in Warsaw, Poland, this week, to successfully kick off negotiations intended to lead to a new global climate control treaty for signing in 2015 — and, the organization hopes, a new and even bigger gusher of cash.

The CER’s (carbon emission reduction certificates) aren’t worth the paper they are written on.

(CDM) essentially acts as a middleman in the process of creating projects in developing countries, paid for by participants in developed countries, that are calculated by its vetted experts — predominately a host of European and Asians consulting and technical contractors — to provide certified reductions in carbon emissions.

As part of the same middleman role, the CDM sits at the center of a much bigger array of consultancies and other service providers that create and sustain its project inventory.

…Less well known is the fact that the CDM takes a fee for every CER that it issues — worth $0.10 for each of the first 15,000 tons, and $0.20 for every ton thereafter, “to assist with the administrative expenses of the executive board and other bodies involved in the Protocol framework.”

To judge from the size of the CDM surplus, the “share of proceeds” has clearly done a lot more than that. But even in 2013 — when the number of projects registered by the CDM has dropped to about 80 percent from the previous year, fees and “share of proceeds” is expected to bring in $35 million, or just less than the CDM’s $38 million budget. The difference will hardly make a dimple in the organization’s current cash trove.

What a bunch of thieves…

Peddling Imaginary CAGW fear

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed
(and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series

Starvation, poverty, flooding, heat
waves, droughts, war and disease already lead to human tragedies. They're
likely to worsen as the world warms from man-made climate change, a leaked
draft of an international scientific report forecasts.

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change will issue a report next March on how global warming is
already affecting the way people live and what will happen in the future,
including a worldwide drop in income. A leaked copy of a draft of the summary
of the report appeared online Friday on a climate skeptic's website.
Governments will spend the next few months making comments about the draft.

Meanwhile…a new study say warmer
temperatures are mainly due to natural 300 year cycles and the present 17 year
is likely to last for another 20 years…

The 17-year pause in global warming
is likely to last into the 2030s and the Arctic sea ice has already started to
recover, according to new research.

A paper in the peer-reviewed
journal Climate Dynamics – by Professor Judith Curry of the Georgia Institute
of Technology and Dr Marcia Wyatt – amounts to a stunning challenge to climate
science orthodoxy.

Not only does it explain the
unexpected pause, it suggests that the scientific majority – whose views are
represented by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – have
underestimated the role of natural cycles and exaggerated that of greenhouse

And yet Electricity
Shorten is okay to sentence all Australian’s to significantly
higher energy prices in his vain attempt to stop “something” that is quite
frankly unstoppable – natural climate change.

Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t Labor’s ETS “cure” sound worse than the problem? A bit like amputating your leg to

Labor’s Climate Change Authority wants to put Australia out of business sooner

The Climate Change Authority has recommended a major increase in the
national emissions reduction target for the rest of the decade.

The independent body recommends, in
a draft report released this morning, that Australia deepen its target to up to
15 per cent by 2020.
